Create session POST /v1/sessions {"title":"Chat"}. Send POST /v1/sessions/{id}/messages {"text":"Hello","images":[],"stream":false}. Images: base64 data URLs or uploaded image IDs. No external URLs, tools or filesystem access. SSE events: queued (when waiting), start, delta, done, error. At most eight generations run globally. Application concurrency and rolling-minute limits wait in a FIFO queue instead of returning 429. Messages in one session wait for prior messages and include the updated history. Daily quota and other validation errors still return errors. Keep the HTTP connection open and allow a client timeout long enough for queue waiting plus up to 180 seconds of generation. Failed turns do not enter history. Developer-mode keys may GET/PATCH /v1/application/instructions with {"system_prompt":"...","behavior_rules":"..."}. At least one field required for PATCH; omitted fields stay unchanged. Updates persist for this application and affect subsequent generations, including existing sessions. Ordinary keys receive 403 developer_mode_required. The developer flag can only be set in admin when issuing a key; rotation preserves it. Applications are isolated. All daily quotas reset at 00:00 UTC.
